I just checked online and they are known as plastic ceiling rose.

yes. This. Only half the rose is now showing and therefore I can't remove it if I want to.

Thanks, the reason I went with them was because they said they had experts who could manage all stages of the work, through to decoration. It felt easier to deals with one company. I won't make that mistake again.

Don't be baffled. People like me with no experience need help. I'm not a DIY expert and thought I had hired someone who knew what they are doing.

Hi all, would really value some advice. I had a reputable decorating company do some skimming and ceiling reboarding work in my house around 18 months ago. Until today I hadn't noticed that the three ceilings they did have the ceiling roses embedded in the plasterboard. So I can't remove them...
