Yeah, 1.5 bags per 10m² sounds way too heavy unless the artex is really deep. On a typical stipple pattern you’d usually be closer to a bag per 10–12m² with a tight first coat and a light second. But it really depends on how rough the ceiling is — no one can give an exact number without seeing it.
