As bubbles said , i have a plasterers light as well . Spose the only prob with halogens is if you get water on em ,but yea you get good light from em .

Funny thing pva , you would think that once its sealed thats that . I put a thin one on first , let that dry ,then another and a third one before you plaster . Problem with two pva's is its still too porous

As the others have said . Hardwall n skim . Or bonding n skim . Also if you you want to be in n out quick bung some dirty water in the mix so it goes off quicker

Depends if you are loadin up with boards or gettin em delivered, for size . most transit size vans are fine for boards .
