    Beads

I just use a cheap Stanley one from Screwfix. It goes into the majority of walls. Really solid ones it may not go all the way but just tap them in with a hammer

It's just a stapler isn't it? I use a stapler now nearly all the time. Even goes into sold walls

You charge for your 'work'? f**k**g hell

    Round corners

You've got 2 options really, say you've quoted for standard way of finishing angles which is with beads as it was never mentioned so that's how it's being done. Or send another quote with extra labour on with a disclaimer you've never done it before and may need sanding down after and you can't...

    Hardwall over old skim

The best thing is I don't think he knows why what he's done is funny. He'll do it the same on the next one

    Hardwall over old skim

I really hope this is a joke. But I kind of know it isn't

Why would you ever take wood chip off a ceiling?

    Hardwall over old skim

Looks like loose paint all over it?

    Scrim

I do similar but just use a brush and abit of PVA, dab it here and there at the joins and will stay stuck for however long you need it to

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Don't think it matters what pattern artex is you, I can't see how anyone can get a good finish skimming straight over first coat. It'll be all pitted when you look closely at it

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Out of interest have you just started out? As I can't see how any plasterer would second coat on top of a sloping wet first coat or why anyone would need to do 3 coats

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

With your method those ceilings must be a right state

How straight and flat can you get it?

Just don't understand how you can put a straight edge on plasterboard or hardwall and it's great, then skim it and it's got hollows. I really don't
