whats the best plastering tip/advice youve been giving

It's not what u can get away with it's what you can live with. Get maximum profit never undersell yourself. Pay attention to detail. Best advice I had that was don't be a plasterer so best I got is I can plaster but I ain't a plasterer.

    Where is the new plasters

Never painted it myself. Its just a bit of an odd ball plaster with a weird finishing process. I cam only say its sort of half way between lime and gypsum. I wont use it myself anymore like one coat plaster just odd. guess a few get on well with it.

Everbuild 3 in 1 is good in scratch. We leave at least 3 to 5 days between coats longer if poss. Feb in top coat. Mostly for our benifit easier to work. And its years of trying stuff out. The sand is vital we cant get bredon sand round this parts anymore also bluecircle and recently found quin...

Used to throw on 50 bags of old size backing in one day skim the next day. That was then. Small builders lucky to find good one, keep them...

I in fairness have had a few problems not related to plastering ie a car crash had 2 discs removed and some odd arthritis at a young age, swear that plastering has kept me in better form than if I had a desk jockey job (having tried that some 20 years ago) I am 42 now. I have a very good...

    Mixing bonding and hardwall ?

Well bonding is so say flexible plaster and finish isn't so perhaps bit dodgy but has its uses limited uses that is. But I see how that can have practical advantages in the timing department but not so sure in the quality department. So bit dodgy in my humble opinion. As for bonding n hardwall...

I met a plaster on a big refurbishment job and he was mixing bonding coat and hardwall he said it made it easy to use and was using it to overplaster on lime plaster then skimming same day. This is new to me as I have heard that u can put hardwall on pva even on plasterboard but I like to put...
