Well gentlemen I thank you for your informative replies. I've heard it's s**t work but I would like the experience so if it's s**t and I make s**t money for a week it's not the end of the world is it?
Still not really got any pointers on where to start yet. If anyone has a suggestion do let me...
Hi all.
Probably the wrong place to post this but I am wondering how I find work plastering on a site? I've been domestic plastering for the last twelve months and I'd like to try some mindless skimming on board for a bit for the experience but not being from a trades background I've never even...
I did a three week course with Silver Trowel in Portsmouth. It was suppose to be two weeks setting (with a day of boarding) and a week floating. I was pretty s**t... So they let me spend three weeks skimming and said I could go back for the floating at no charge which I did later.
This is all...
I was taught (on short C&G course) that all floating and rendering should be done with the box method. Today floated out a wall using strip of plasterboard and it was a doddle.
The idea behind the box screed is to make your own panels to level from. It does work but takes time... Unless you...
It makes so much mess. I did a job on a semi detached house and had to go next door and clean the neighbours garden after scratching it back!

Chichester, but I vaguely know Hook and have SatNav :)
I'm newish to plastering (six months) and can lay on fine but the boss usually finishes (wet trowel etc) hence why I only offer to help and not take on the job! But free this weekend to labour or lay on.

I was taught on the plastering course that when your plaster suddenly starts going off really quickly for no apparent reason it's because Danny is having a s**t fit somewhere.

That makes sense because I went to the records office and Danny doesn't have a birth certificate...
Are we all in Danny's Matrix?!

I heard there were complications during delivery due to Danny's baby's tool belt.
PS: dunno what this is all about but thought I'd get involved :)
