it's an honest and urgent enquiry. I'm on a tight budget and don't want to have to extend the lease on the scaffold so s / c is a receeding option given time between coats etc and my inexperience.

I have to render outside walls (timber / osb)on a loft conversion (mine). Price is a big issue so intend to do work myself.
2 routes: battens + eml + s / c with marble dust in float coat.
or
board + base coat of a render system + stain and buggering...
you can substitute marble dust for sand as per sand cement render / screed mix. Just joined this site. am also doing my own house and want a polished concrete / marble finish on my external and bathroom renders. Was told to look at systems but finishes are crap with K-rend / Weber / etc so...
