so basically spunk what your saying is rather than using twice as much finish and using good time to flatten it you just put on one generous coat, splash the wall then sponge it???......then start the troweling process?

just been thinking. if i put a neat coat of PVA onto the surfaces a day or so before the job so that it forms like a sort of skin over the paint could that seal the white wash in to make it suitable for plastering.

No, i mean i wouldn't do the job unless a company had tested the ceiling and it was confirmed there were no asbestos detected.

simply wouldn't do it if there wasn't an asbestos test done on the artex.

its our supervisers who deal with getting the company in to test them but wouldn't think it wouldd be a major cost. but at the end of the day you can't put a price on life can you?
