Surveyor is coming round today to assess the walls and give a fee on what they think it will cost to rectify the damage... any words of advice?!

he wanted me to send a deposit up front to cover cost of materials before doing the job to 'cover him'- i didn't of course.... and then left his rubble waste in my front garden

I actually want a ceiling rose too

£570 so far... £270 for the ceiling. £300 for the two walls. I have one wall remaining

Can the plaster be taken off, wallpaper then taken off and start again with the skimming without needing to overboard it?

I booked my plasterer via checkatrade - he was really highly rated so I didn't question his methods. He applied primer to the wallpaper on the ceiling. Some bubbling/raising of the plaster has since occurred. Will the problem of cracks etc get worse as a result of not stripping the wallpaper...
