I've did a 5 day course with gold trowel polished plaster and 2 days with impiria italia

Hi all I did a 5 day course and no one mentioned corner bead we used a corner trowel to square the edges. Do any of you guys use metal or plastic beads. I was looking at the mesh render beads. Am only asking as I'm not happy with the edges not looking sharp.
