It’s a long internal wall, old house with lime mortar beween the bricks, we are changing the layout so my brother can live with my mum and she wanted a new radiator and tv point and electrical points along the wall so they come out a fair bit, otherwise I would have sand and cemented it.
Stripped a wall back to brick and I would like to plasterboard it due to new water pipes running down it and plenty of new electrical cables.
One plasterer came round and said it’s best to scratch coat with sand and cement then board and another said to sbr the wall to seal in the dust then...
For bawaur I was thinking of a simple 25mm if I went down that route but again I don’t know if I could go thicker on the external walls and thinner where the insulation isn’t needed as much or if 25mm in the minimum for the base all round?

I will give them a call, surprisingly there doesn’t seem to be many lime specialists around my area and none that anyone I know can recommend which does worry me, as it’s hard to find a good referral like with most other trades.
