I can get 50mm pir insulation for 29 quid and plasterboard for about 8.50. That is a lot cheaper than buying insulated plasterboard.

The bricks aren't perfectly straight as it was meant to be covered up so there is some variation in the depth. I'd say between 3mm and 10mm. Do you think a thin layer of hardwall plaster and then skim with multifinish?
We have had a small window bricked up and the brickie has laid the bricks only a few mm depth lower than the surrounding plaster. What plaster should I use and do I just prep with pva?
