Sorry for ignorance, backing coat? I pva'd several times and last one was tacky when I started and applied two coats. It went on okay and trowelled up good. It's is a old house!!

Thanks for reply. Heating on low, and backs onto a outsdie wall. Could it be down to application, i.e. Coats not at correct depth

Hi guys, please be gently as new to this game0:) Just plastered a wall in my house about 12ft long so good wall to start on!! I did two coats and all went on brill, but however it's almost completely dry in a day? Any ideas why?
