Hmm, It's slumped here abit more than I'd like, certianly in the plant game anyway. Makes me glad i'm in a cosy shed... :RpS_lol:
Thinking about attacking the industry and starting my own firm, but betting alot on the work picking up next year. Opinions on the likelyhood?
Hopefully antartica for 7 months. If not Scotland or western canada/alaska.
Somewhere cold where I can get away from misriable lobster people and annoying dust. :glare:
I was raised on those machines. By own machine is a Lovely JD 450A Drott and I often Drive a ford 555 wheeldigger.
The money for drivers in the UK is shite, the ticket system is shiter. Does'nt bother me as I intend to go abroard soon :RpS_thumbup:

Just wondering if it's as bad for plasterers as plant op's.
I've been driving for a year, have all the qualifications. I just need a year or so alongside a groundworker who know's what's what but does'nt want to drive a digger.
Yet no one want's to take on a apprentice or someone for a couple...
If your being serious (As I do not know how competitive the plastering world is - perhaps its like monty pythons secret service dentists), he'll probably know me, I was driving a JCB Excavator and Wheel Digger on site. I also lent a air compresser to Nick the plumber and loaded and shifted about...
I tend to drive everything and anything. Only been at it for just over a year now having done it at college and a apprentership.
My main machines are Wheeldiggers, Telehandlers and 360's. I'll admit I tend to shut off on 360's turn the sound up and get it done.
Hopefully someone can help me...
Hello all.
Not a plasterer and will probably be chased off this site with trowels. But I am looking for a paticular one.
I worked on site. Him and his nephew (I think) where employed through agency on a site in east allington - Devon.
From Torbay I belive and drives a Red LDV ex post office...
