    skimming, do you give you 1st coat a flattener once its on the wall/ceiling?

    if your unsure, don't do the job pay me and i'll do it you!!! Or as freerider says flatten it 1st in the bucket!!!. Yes I always flatten the 1st coat with either a 18" trowel or a spatular. Makes all the difference. :RpS_laugh:
