Ok - thanks for all your help and I'll certainly try and persuade my wife to have cope stone sounds easier and better. But ... If she still wants render can someone answer my original question, do I do it all in one go or do the face, let it cure then do the top? thanks again everyone.

Thanks very much both of you. Dan if my wife says it has to be render top does that mean I should do it in two goes then - face and then top with the angle bead?

Hi, this is my first post but been lurking the site for a little while so thanks for all the help you've already provided. I'm rendering a retaining block wall in my garden and want to render the top and upper section of the back. My question is - do I go up and over in one go or do I need to do...
