Got one small internal wall, gonna use 1:4 with no plasticiser or lime. Did it before and never had any issues. Just checking this is an alright way to do it?
I dry trowel my walls twice with my nella . This gives it a nice shine but not to the point when it’s like marble. I’m a little worried for people who are painting their own houses and are not experienced decorators. Could they have trouble with slightly glass finish or will the paint stick ok?
Had bad experiences skimming over fresh bonding. Once bonded a chase waited a few hours till it was hard enough and gave it one (pretty watery) coat of pva and it done the trick, never sucked in.
Is this a suitable method or could this hold back moisture and cause problems later? I never had...
One whole room and one exterior (window) wall. Can you dot and dab on ground floor by the whole room ? Or should I sand and cement instead due to moisture. Would rather dot and dab it’s quicker. Any tips? Thanks
Old bathroom had tiles ripped off, some chunks of the old render came off, gonna fill with sand and cement before skiming and tiling. Any need for waterproofer?
When you flatten with a speedskim do you flatten with the lines ( up and down how you would with trowel) or across? I heard first across then up and down, but I thought goings across the lines would of made ripples/ waves?
