Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

I wouldn't say there are any particular expectations on what I produce - I don't exactly have a client on this one. I'm just interested in seeing what is possible.

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

Maybe there is someone out there that has achieved something similar before, so I'm listening to everyone for any advice including yours ;)

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

Yea I’m wondering about two layers of tape.

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

Yea I wonder if the scrim has more give for movement. What about scrim on the bare joints and then paper tape over joint compound. Anyone ever used both at the same time?

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

Thanks very much for the advice. Why would you use scrim instead of paper tape?

Like the sound of this yea thanks, so would bed the rendermesh into plasterboard, laying over the tapered edges (which have scrim underneath rendermesh)? Just trying to get my head around it

Render mesh in the tapered edges? Or covering whole wall? Never used that before

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

So I’m thinking of easyfil in the joints, letting that dry out, and then skimming over whole thing twice with multi-finish.

Reinforced paper tape for normal tapered joint?

Will using reinforced corner paper tape (with the metal strips) strengthen a normal tapered joint? The movable wall I am plastering is also curved, therefore a lot of opportunity for movement in the joints - so I’m trying to find a way of strengthening the plasterboard joints to avoid...

    Re-skim

I I was trying to get it as smooth as possible that's all. What does give it a hard edge mean?

    Re-skim

What's the wind up? I'm trying to teach myself how to plaster and yesterday was the first time I did a room bigger than my studio in the picture, I messed up the timings

    Re-skim

Cheers! Should I wait for it to dry first? Or can I put a new skim on whenever?

    Re-skim

Because of time constraints I didn’t manage to complete a job to the finished standard I wanted. I did get to flatten everything, but just couldn’t get round to polishing. Is it possible to skim over the plastered walls again, and if so how long should I wait before doing so? Also, what...
