    Do you numptys not read posts, just jump in to slag people off. I've skimmed loads of artex walls and as I said before put 2 coats of pva on and skim over tacky second coat. I just wondered what other spreads did.

    Someone's got to do the ' domestic shite' . You want to try skimming some old walls instead of perfectly flat new builds. Then you'll see what proper spreads are.

    I said I don't have much experience. Have done loads of walls over the years but usually overboard the ceilings so was just wondering what other spreads do.

    Hi everyone, I've been plastering for about 15 years now but haven't had much experience skimming over artex. I've got a 12x12 ceiling to do that can't be overboarded due to coving. What's the preferred way to do it? I normally put one coat of pva on let it set then another and apply plaster...
