Thanks. I think youre right. It will be easier to visualise how it will work if I cut the piece and get it in place.
Just purchased some MDF to practise cutting to shape on rather than ruining something pricier.
I am fitting a window board.
When I look on YouTube, mostly the videos feature a squared-up finish and they seamlessly fit the board in.
As you see in mine, the finish is rough and uneven.
Should I be aiming to square this up? If so, how?
The objective is to fit a new window board.
I am a DIY novice, and I am looking for a reasonable and durable solution. Probably not a 'perfect' solution. But something that should seal the gap and create an OK aesthetic.
