    Sounds like the same stuf. What was the PVA mix that you used? I have three whole walls to skim over and then tile on top. After you do a tight skim of bonding do you do the finish skim the same day or can it be left for a few days and then given a coat or two of PVA before the skim coat?

    I have another 2 question. What is the black backing plaster underneath the lime skimming made of? If I hack off all the blown lime finish and leave the sound black backing plaster is it OK to PVA 2 coats of 3-1 and re-skim over ready for tilling? Thanks

    I ment to say the the screw in the photo is the only fixing to the wall and then the frame is fixed to the wood.

    Good idea, but when they put the window in they used some 4 inch wide peaces of wood for packing that's the full width of the reveal. By all accounts the window fitters used only 1 screw to fix the packing and then the window is screwed to that. I can't board with the packing in place because I...
