I've only done float and set once at college six months ago and that was a small was with a window in the middle so we used a darby on the angle beading to keep the wall level

cheers Chris, Its the uneven part of it thats got me thinking as in some places it needs hardly nothing so setting the batons will be a right ballache to get level to blend it in.

hi all, How would you go about float & setting an uneven stone wall, i've got to do my sister in laws steps down to the cellar then blend it into the plaster at the bottom at some point.

Just feather it there should be enough moisture left in the plaster to join both parts together without leaving a trace
