Dont know why tiles wouldnt be used in a bathroom?? But YES you certainly can dot/dab or stud the bathroom with no issues at all!!! Just think of all the thousands of new builds using boards throughout!!!! I dabbed a bathroom just the other day. ;D ;D
I dont really agree with the influx of these evil poles!!!! They only really fill jobs that lazy scroungers dont want to do down my way- like warehouse work and fruit picking. But I hear they are hitting london and surrounding areas on site mainly!!! The thing is if more English people got off...
Hey Danny,
I use Marshalls, some people say tyzack are better. I go with 13 for getting it on and depending on the background sometimes trowel out with my trusty 18, this works lovely over boardwork!!!!!
But I wouldnt be without my trusty brush for wet trowelling and edge work!!!!
As for...
It's all about killing the suction, putting the PVA on overnight is a luxury!!! This seals the wall, then just before the re skim another coat of PVA which you can hit wet. If your doing Gold trowel they will teach you this!!!!
The longer you can let the first PVA coat go off the better.
Hope...
Yeah artex can be a pig!!! Depends on what its been painted or sealed with!!!! Its usually a Seal then Glue as you go. But its still odd at times!!!!
On the Goldtrowel, Chris said some spreads bond it out first them skim, so it may be an idea on a bigger one!!!!
Hello People,
I'm in the Medway area of Kent if anyone has work that needs doing. I can offer a hand or even take some excess work on board.
Just starting out on my own, so no job is too small!!!!
I would say firstly price your materials required, then add on a decent day rate for the job. As you know there are no set out rules and its down to you really.
£300 for a days work sounds good too me!!!!
Good luck with the pricing!!!!!! ;)
Van
Cor blimey!!! Buyimg a van was hard work!!!! I dont believe in paying dealer prices so a private buy was on the cards!!! They go so quickly!!!!
I had a list of two they are both not too big and just right for the larger board etc!!!!
Nissan Vanette and Toyota Hiace
I went for the vanette...
Oh excellent!!!! I just sat there and thought this looks odd, but its just the way its written!!!!
Cheers Danny!!!!!
Bought my van the other day so not long and I'll be out there plastering !!!!!!
Thanks for the guidance mate!!!!!
;)
Hello Danny,
Cheers for the reply!!!!
I'm working it out like you, but looking at question I'm thinking theres four walls so Im doubling 7.2 and 12m2 = 38.4m2 then taking out the door 1.8 and getting 36.6 m2 dividing by 9 = 5.73 rounding up to 6 bags.
I think the question is a bit backward...
Can anyone help with this question, call me stupid but I cant seem to work out this question?????? :-?
