It's a cement board with a mesh on the face, same stuff on the outside for through colour render as it's 100% fire proof was hoping to grit to sort the suction and skim, had a that for plaster lol

Thanks guys, trouble is the boss has already done it ready and they want sand and cement to match the house ! Last time I went over cement board I was told to mesh, SBR slurry then two coat s&c as the mesh is already any way around it?

Check out r and j building supplies, online company do polythene sheet on the roll, also do deals on pva, scrim, beads and all general consumables. If you use roll and stroll on hard floors it's a Bugger to get off! Don't use it On a floor with underfloor heating or it can leave a residue
