Thanks Zombie, I won’t be sharing these comments with the contractor. I’m just after a bit of knowledge so I can get it sorted. 90% of it looks okay, it’s just the finishing that’s poor, which I’m hoping can be patched?

What would you have used? Could they have got a decent finish to the ones that have been used? These might sound like a daft question but this really isn’t my area expertise.

Not for the rendering, the work was subcontracted out by the landscapers so they will pay them directly. I’ve been making milestone payments to contractors but still a sizeable sum left.

The landscaping company subcontracted the work out to another firm, who were supposed to be the experts.
