Plaster moving to middle of trowel instead of wall !

Has this happened to anyone else ? The plaster just slides to the centre of the trowel instead of spreading on the wall, it's weird because it does it when the plaster is sometimes thick..Thin and just right in terms of consistency.

No, it's bare plaster...I knew i had problems getting it on,it was taking ages to cover just a little bit.

Multi finish over Lime plaster ?

This will be my third post now in a short time of being here, but there's alot of mixed opinions on this. Some say to never use Multi Finish over lime some say they always do it. What would you do and how would you deal with a job like plastering over old lime plaster ? Thanks in advance.

Plaster not spreading on the wall properly.

The wall is old plaster, yes very flaky and porous walls...The PVA isn't wet it's tacky.

Plaster not spreading on the wall properly.

The consistency of the plaster is thick and creamy, it dries at a normal rate, no lumps whatsoever since i use a mixing paddle to mix the plaster. The PVA is 3:1 ratio.
