Forming Corners on Ashlar effect Mono

Hi folks, What is the best way to form corners when doing Ashlar effect monocouche? We're doing the bottom band of 2 pairs of semis and the render goes all the way round. For obvious reasons we can't use beads and if we form them with a darby or timber then there will be a visible seam where we...

    Mp75 coverage

Hi all, I'm pricing a job at the mo and they've specd mp75. I've got my labour price but I'm trying to work out material cost. On the case study they say the coverage is 100-125m per 1000kg. Quite a confusing way to write it i know... This works out at 2.5m per 25kg bag on the low side. I do a...

Van, pftg5 stolen Harrogate Monday 25th

Most vans that get nicked end up with swapped reg plates on a jippo camp. They had mine last year but luckily it turned up an hour or two later. Defo think I'll look at getting a tracker for my machine though after reading this

    Parex over stonework

We've just done a big job with the lime stuff. It's not too much dearer and it scrapes back and looks the same. Just wear some latex gloves and try and keep it off your skin!

    Colour match

Always compare hard samples next to the wall you are trying to match to. The colour charts are all a bit off when you look at them on a screen or even on a printed paper. I'd just get all the ones you think it could be from Weber and parex and take them there and hold them against the wall on a...

    Mono bay

If you're thinking about render board I asked a weber Rep last year and he says the general rule of thumb is that the render should be no thicker than the board that's carrying it.

    Mono bay

True, sometimes they are brick columns with timber upstands, probably rotten. Tell her you'll have to see what state the timber is in as she might have to replace it then mesh coat and Mono with mesh

    Parex over night?

Sprayed a 66 bagger yesterday with Weber, used accelerator and it was scratched up for 4. Tomorrow will be the last one with Weber before we switch to Parex for next day scrapes. Have already done a couple of next days but they were pretty hard to be honest

    Spraying Browning

I'm currently pricing a job up and the customer wants a solid two-coat finish rather than dot and dab. I was wondering if browning can be sprayed on and ruled flat just as monocouche is. I have a putzmeister sp11 so pumping it would be no problem I'm just worried that it would set too quickly...
