Pretty sure you need to use a foam adhesive with foil backed plasterboards
I've never done what your suggesting tho. Sounds like your asking for trouble. 100% wouldn't be doing that in a customers house but if it's for your own house then you've only got yourself to blame if it goes wrong...
I worked on a new extension to an old cottage towards the end of last year and was asked by the builder on site to used a thin coat of bonding over all the boards. The trick was not to trowel it too much and leave it fairly even but rough. Customer loved it so happy days

I think you should just go in at your original price as long as it was reasonable earner for you in the 1st place. She's obviously would have learnt her lesson already. You pay for what you get!
