@Wayners thanks for your response man! So is it okay if use matt on that spot only and then do 2 normal coats of silk on top?

After reading about it somewhere, I used gardz on some overly polished areas after plastering had been completed, and now 3 coats later it's still bloody showing through slightly! I'm using Dulux trade vinyl silk. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Any point of a fourth coat?

Sorry if this is the wrong section. I read somewhere that you should us 10% water for the mist coat, which I have found out is too little water. I have cut into the corners and edges of a room using this ratio. Should I go back and sand those areas back down to the plaster and start again? Thanks
