Fixing angle bead

Members online

I converted to staples a while ago now.
At first was using a crap stapler and thought what a load of b*ll***s. So went back to sticking them with skim.

Had a big extension to do and builder left his stapler so I gave it another go and never looked back.

Bought a decent stapler I use the dewalt 5 in 1 jobbie as it was on offer but the arrow ones are just as good.
The arrow has marks already where the staples exit the dewalt doesn't.
It's just a case of marking where the staples exit if there's no marks and your set.
Can get all the beads up in no time!

Oh and the dewalt and Stanley staplers also take arrow staples. So easy to source

Over skims I still stick with skim

Am I only person that screws beads on? I've converted to hook on beads now. A few taps and they are on, if the corner is off a bit stick a few screws in.

f**k my life a basic question for a basic job and we're all arguing over what method is best. It's f**k**g angle beads not a curved Norris bead which hardly anyone's done. Each to there own but something like this doesn't need complicating as much as it has been!

I used to have a mate who used to bounce his arms a bit when he danced but the more pissed he got the more enthusiastic he got, by the end of the night he used to look like he was doing a chicken impression, used to be a good coversation starter with the girls saying look at my daft drunk mate doing a chicken impression while thinking he looks cool as f**k

Grasshopper..........a 1000 metres of beading begins with a single staple/nail/blob of adhesive/dab of skim/mastic.....lol

Poor bloke.

Do they go into metal stud
Yes they do I always use them on metal stud or timber. I have tried and tested staples and I don't rate them at all.I realise there quicker but as you already know when 2nd fix skirting goes on you tend to get cracks along the skim beads as staples don't hold beads 100%.

By the time the skirting goes on not my problem

So no written instructions for use then? Safety instructions? Limitations?
See I'm still treating you as if you're real, can't promise I'll be able to keep this up though.

thickness 0.22mm

Health and safety data sheet available on request.

Could you please send me the health and safety sheet?
Can't be too careful before placing a big order.
