hi just a couple of questions if any more experienced members can tell me please I've use ocr over rendaid fine but been price to much for rendaid so am thinking of trying hp12 then ocr on top ? It's only a small job I trying hp12 because of it availability. Thanks in advance

I've said it before and i'll say it again. HP12 is fantastic gear, i've used it on blocks, bricks, dash, render, painted render, sandtex (pinned) on literally hundreds of houses. I've dashed on to it, put thin coat on it and just rubbed it up for a coat of paint. I've never ever known it to fail. Ever.

Its absolutely bulletproof. I've used other bagged renders but for me hp12 is by far the best base coat, easily available and the krend dash receiver is also great imo.

I'm open to trying other brands if any manufacturers fancy sending some out though

Like your style done a massive house last year painted so put rendagrip on it 2 tight coats of ocr with mesh stuck great !

You crack on mate. (Pun intended :bailando:)

Do you not mesh stress points?

No f**k that. Did it once with sand and cement. Didnt think much of it. Been putting render on walls for over 18 years and had no mesh and no problems. Just think it's all a load of b******* tbh. I can see the point of it on a old stone house that is been re rendered. But that's about it. f**k doing it on a new build.:birra:

This is what I always render over
