Any1 on top of google in the search engine for when somebody is looking for a plasterer in the area there cover..just had a 10minute video sent to my email explaining how it works etc and saying there will get business top in search engine between 6-12 months and guaranting work etc price is £399 a month! Yep £399 a month lol..just emailed back saying give me 1st month free and Il pay 2nd month if it works

I'm not personally but my sparks mate done all that and paid his money he kept checking it and he was on page 3 every other day so ditched it if they sent that email to you they have probably sent it to loads of others if 10 people say yes how can you all be top,plus I bet they wouldn't pay the money back they will have some get out clause somewhere won't they, maybe I'm becoming far to suspicious as I get older, did they say you can pay to western union and send the money to Nigeria where there head office is based
Lol no..he said its not a contract etc its a legitimate firm ive checked just sounds too steep..hes emailed me back saying he cant give first month free as its cost that money to get it going..im open to try new things just wondered if any1 else is/or trying it

I know but bobby is mainly site work and he's near top of google so just wondered wat sort of calls he had..ive had a couple of construction firms ring me frm yell..w.birch ring once..dint get job like but priced a school

The work that goes in to do it these days is quite a lot as the old days nobody really optimised a site...
You can't guarantee results either... I can put you in contact with someone that will do it and is good.
I don't offer it now as a service as I would want more like £1k a month to do it but I would promise results but they would still take 6 or so months

A bird rung me from Manchester(I'm in Ireland) saying she'd be able to get my work Facebook seen by thousands of clients each day for the sum of £180 a mouth. Told her she's wasting her time because I'm flat out and have loads priced however if she sends me a pair of her used panties, I'd consider it.

I carry out work across the board not just site work
I get all sorts of calls from one off bedrooms skims to hack off and re render jobs
I don't bother with the small skimming jobs but if it's a whole house and decent area I'll take a look
I do get tenders send to me also although not sure if it's from my website

It has no mobile friendly view at the minute and has the odd grammar mistake
All this b*ll***s about Google not ranking sites without mobile view seems b*ll***s at the minute
I'm generally on the first page
Not top per say for websites
I'm top on the Google places bit but they rotate that and it's generally works in direct correlation to the location you searching from (I'm in Liverpool at the minute but when I type plasterer in doncaster)
I'm top on that and on first page of the search.
I do have a clever website domain though that includes both doncaster and plasterer
There's nothing better than relevant domain
Think B&Q their domain is clever and generally comes up first when you mention diy in a search

Havnt got 1 dont do any form of advertising at all..on free listing at yell about 20 pages in as paid for that for 2"years then came off as was getting sick of stupid phone calls the amount of pointless jobs I priced were un real..we made some great money from it mind but hate wen silly people ring me saying hi I'm wanting my kitchen doing but I need it doing 2morow

Just means the competition in your area is not that strong
A lot of sites got hit for exact match domain names a couple of years back so when picking a domain that needs to be something you think about
hundreds of factors come into play with SEO but competition from other people is a big factor

Cool okay, I get these calls all the time as well sometimes there opening sentence is we work on behalf of google blar,blar and end in saying if you pay £500 + we will do this and that and you'll be in undated with calls plus things like do you realise there are 200 people a day in your area searching for "plasterer" in your area it is all a load of cobble..google make it virtually impossible for anyone to phone them for a start by phone so there is no way in this world they will have people phoning for new business off me and you

If you use Danny you'll then probably find yourself near/at the top anyway.
These companies offering these packages base there costs on the amount of traffic that certain keywords get.
So say plasterer Bristol is typed in on average 1k times a months they'll use the bollucks that everyone of them would find you. Anyone with half a brain knows I'm actual fact around 10% of those a month are actually possible jobs.
I would say a website and SEO works better for domestic spreads.

I would say less than 10%. Most have firms or contacts etc and Google would be last resort for them.
If your looking for new contacts I'd be more inclined to say to the new firms you'd give them some sort of special terms/costs for the first job to get your foot in the door.
Nothing big that means your working for f**k all but ways of enticing them to use you. That's how I went about things when I started off and I have 2 companies whose work I still do to this day.

I get offered the same all the time from 99 per month etc etc
Think if you have a dpare 399 per month to spare then you dont need the advert in the first place
