Am just putting the final touches to some drylining with Gyproc 50mm RF system and low expansion foam, and I've been wondering how much I've saved by doing it myself.
As a joiner, it's the first time I've ventured this far into the dark arts of plastering and now I've painted most of it, I must admit it's looking pretty good
Wasn't easy....... carrying everything up a tight flight of stairs. The rendered and plastered walls were all over the place so had to be flattened and plumbed with a combination of bonding and timber packings using string-line and plumb-bob. 3 external walls, approx 20 metres length, using 20 sheets of 50mm plus some 30mm for the window reveals. 2 large windows and 1 small, 21 cavity boxes and faceplates, 4 flow and return rad pipes in walls.
Re-doing all the power, lighting, phone, TV sockets and new rad tail positions was epic......... but that's another story, as was having to constanty be moving odd bits of furniture (never again...... should have gone into storage) that had nowhere else to go.

How much labour cost have I saved. How much would you guys have charged for the dry-lining side of things, including correcting the walls?
