and the reason its gone back and forth is comments like yours saying its for people no knowing how to put themselves out there, this is how the domestic market is going/gone people like to see feedback from your previous work, type in plasterer in google or yahoo and see what come up.
To dismiss it as you and others are doing is foolish by some snobbery by others, its not chavs from the council estate that are using these sites its professional people

Your a dick!
I'm doing the opposite if you read my post properly.

What you and others are failing to recognise though is the home owners that are using it are clever professional people, forget all this it's for start ups or people not knowing how to find work, it's about homeowners finding good tradespeople with excellent feedback.

O right first you tell me I'm slating it now you say I fail to realise?
So why am I still a member 3years on?
You chat some s**t mind.

We're on about it from a tradesman's point of view not the clients so regardless of who the client is work is work and that's why I've gave the opinion it's good for start up's or people without contacts in the game.

Ever think that different people may have different experiences with it? I for one quoted several jobs off both rated people and mybuilder and i can assure you none of them were 'proffesional' people. They were all 'want it doing yesterday for peanuts' people.

When i used rated people not one of them bothered to read reviews or look aat my profile page. Which local though they all did and i tended to get all these jobs at good prices.

One interesting point that's not been discussed here is what happens when the customer has a dispute with the plasterer over quality of work , when the job is okay in the plasterers eyes and money is held back for payment?

Who sorts that out ? there is no "qualified or vetted " people within these sites (I presume) to have or care about being able to come to a correct conclusion.

I would put my bet on the my builder or rated people backing the customer leaving the plasterer with no payment and not one but two different corners to fight.

What are you talking about lol it's no different than working for someone in any other way, never leave a job where your quality will be questioned it's simple

What I'm asking is if they decide it's not okay then what happens ?
Does the site you are paying help you out ?
Because let's be honest here many of the general public will quite happily try not to pay if they can get away with it.
Then you left with no money and negative feedback on a site that you pay

any agreed work is between the contractor and client.
Blimey what area do you live in, if you do a good job my experience is people are happy to pay for that.
If we are being honest you are also part of the general public so are you saying you would only be to happy to try and knock someone ??

Got my first positive feedback on the site this morning so in the big time now(y) worked till 2.30 so off to the pub now to get drunk in the sun....banging headache for work in the morning:)

Well done.. All paid up ?

I think there should be a "rated customer" site so tradesmen can check up on prompt payers, suppliers of decent tea and cake etc.

Great shout. "Mrs Jones was a right bitch, didn't even offer us tea or coffee and let us hoover up when we finished also wanted us to do an extra bit for free, wouldn't recommend working for her"
@Danny get a rated customers site up and running.

Yeah all paid up, it was fit skirting and skim a kitchen which I did saturday...finish my first of the full reskim wednesday but they love me so feedback will be great...think they want to adopt me....they found a fag packet outside that I was putting my nub ends in and thought she was going to start crying, said every tradesman theyve ever had flicked fag ends all over the garden.

I have a good review for one a few weeks back no drink offered for three days my mouth was like gandis flip flop ,customer agreed to remove own rubbish as in quote and then proceeded to ask what was happening with rubbish ( could have put it in living room wouldn't have noticed it) then proceeded to let there smelly German Shepard dry hump my mates toolbox and never even offered a wet wipe! 0 stars for hospitality 0 stars for cleanliness and 0 stars for punctuality (never up at agreed time) all in all I wouldn't recommend this customer to fellow trades as he is a c**t [emoji106]
