I got a bag off multi last week was in date and had a ball init the size of s tennis ball I think it's do with how the merchants store it that's my opinion

Yep multi sh#t again at the moment. They will sort it and the board finish goes to pot then. Getting sick of going back and to. Seems they don't give a toss cos they have market boxed off

If only there was direct competition easily available. Then they would do something about it, they don't give a s**t.

I found grit in every bag of unifinish when i first used it in 2012, i found some in multi for the first time last month! Mmmmm.
The last uni i used it had lots of the little white soft bits in some of the bags, annoying.

Gosh was only having a laugh..

Being serious I did use multi today and it had grit bits in it I just think all the plaster comes out the ground so it's never going to be perfect

I've just used 15 bags of uni all full of white lumps sent picks and samples to bg but who covers all the hassle and time wasted

Shud of kept me mouth off this thread but if it helps the white bits are what makes it stick they trowel up ok and paint up ok I have seen it on some of my bags god knows why bg said to send them photos etc IMO there is nothing to be concerned about , a member on here message me about them a while ago in a panick I told him just paint and see , he message back all was fine when painted..
Can understand @BritishGypsum might have to be diplomatic when dealing with people's concerns but I tell you straight
Nothing wrong with white bits and when it's dry it looks like little pink spots but again it's just the additive inside doing the sticking to the surface.
Wish @BritishGypsum could be a bit quicker and straight forward in explaining stuff sometimes ,
Plasterers just want telling straight.

No big scrapes in wall as you troweled it could see it on hand board even had a big lump stuck in wisk looked like a lump of plasterboard I was going to kill the lab till I mixed one and it was the same some bags where worse than others

For these to have been under the surface it would have to be 20mm thick I've been a spread for over 35 years I wish I new how to put pictures on here on one trowel full there is 6 massive gouger in the wall

No point whinging on here lads, you need to bombard BG & their reps themselves and get something for your troubles

I meant looks like little dots under the skim surface..
When you say gouges are you on about the white bits or multi with bits of grit in ?

Did the gear trowel up ok besides that though Paul ? To a finish you were happy with ?
More than happy with the product what I was covering only other way would have been to rip it all off and start again. It was a long arse day 3 hour drive to job didn't finish till nearly 2300 hrs it was just soul destroying having to keep picking bits out esp on second coat

@flynnyman what is so funny ..have you never had crap in a mix or some crap striking into the gear when troweling on that you have to fill, sort and deal with.?
