It's not really my work. Looked at this on way home this afternoon. Had looked at it just before Christmas and gave a price and the bloke said yeah that's fine I'll let you know when it will start. Obviously got a cheaper quote but they just never came back. Worked for him a few times as well. Nice to see your fans booing you. He's a doctor and have done a few of his clinics. This a rental property of his. His wife showed me it today and said he hadn't been able to contact me lol. Laughing my cock off. Foam hadn't even taken.

I hate when that happens I priced a big loft conversion bloke had had a builder into start took a load of money off him put 9.5mm board on walls and left ceiling cos it was a up and over total sqm of 80sqm then tried taping and jointing walls was a right mess I gave a proper quote for scaffold boards 2 plasterers and a labourer and said to sort all out is two weeks work agreed to price set a date and then he left a week then cancelled for a week then cancelled again on me then on the 3rd time he cancelled night before job lucky I hadn't got stuff on order was just gonna get enough to get going then get delivery but I just replied sorry busy Til end of March now ring me then he probably got another price and got a cowboy in I ask for no money upfront and always get customer to check work before payment so in a way when they do get shafted makes you feel a bit smug

Mate I did lose my love of game for a while as you know but still take pride in my work like the job I got through here I didn't just do a good job cos it's from here I do a good job cos it's my rep and it's a case of small acorns lead on to other things and people will recommend if that bloke had done a good job for you you would of used him again over and over so for sake of 450 cash is a reputation worth losing for me it ain't,we all have off days but for someone new always up your game

Thing that annoys me is then you become suspicious of anyone who comes in then and we can all get paranoid and think is this geezer shafting me and then you look even harder for fault which we know in our game if they wanna find a fault they will do,I see a old thread the other day a customer saying a spread had done a job for her from here and she wasn't happy cos finish looked "smokey" turns out it was just way finish dried and painter said it was a top job,so shows how little some know but can ruin a blokes rep it's a double edge sword at times, plus we all know multi just don't dry the way it used to and makes even us experienced plasterers think what's wrong with that and there is nothing wrong

Was doing something a little different today and was really pleased the way it turned out. Once it's dried out it should be a decent colour match.

How did you do that? Looks good

Build it out in layers until almost flush. Key off all the stones. Then just basically slap stuff on randomly, adding a bit here digging out a bit there. Let it tighten and just lightly brush it off until you get a nice texture similar to the stone. Then just point in the joints of the stone. Probably looks more complicated than it is to be honest, hardest part is probably matching the colour.

Credit where it's due.
It's the jobs like this that either get done well by people like yourself or gets absolutely battered by a belter who just throws it on and says that's the best I can do love!
