Hi trying to price a one off house and the bloke wants resilient bar across the joists what's the going price per m for a tacker to fix it
Cheers
Paul

90p a lineal metre is what I get mate, so if you price it at a £1 you will be quids in

£1 leeroy fck me mate!! If there's no middle man get as much as poss we charge over £2m2 and if sub it out pay £1.50

Roughly ye give or take id put at least £1.50m2 in if ur job and ur doing it ye its easy but its a job that stil needs doing..

So set out at say 400 centres on a 6m ceiling your getting £9 but on a linear at a £1 he will get £15? Or maybe £18 depending on the lay out, am I missing something?

90p lineal meter works out better than £150m2 mate as flynnyman pointed out , this is site prices and there's no middle man

Haha It's metal track(sound bar or res-bar) mate what you put on ceiling opposite way to joist then double sound board, for flats, pubs and suchlike

Because the sound will travel, so the bar is ment to stop it traveling through the wood joist I'm on it tomorrow so will take a pic for you

Same thing kev all it is,is metal lenghts of track and you screw It to joists or plywood on walls thus acting as a sound barrier and then double boarded with soundblock or normal boards pending budget as we are doing it at min but using plain boards instead of soundblock thank god..its a load of bolloxs kev but u can earn gud dosh

Can u spot it..look close to the ceiling best pic I've got to hand

Varies big k prob a couple quid for a 3m length building contractor has got all materials in from our job as he's claiming all vat bk and there £1000s and£1000s in materials bought on this job

Leroy wasn't u on about res bar on another thread a while ago saying uve been offered 0.80p a meter on some flats?

You have to use the correct length screws so that you don't go through the board and resi bar into the joust, or that defeats the object of doing it. The bar hangs down forming a void of about half an inch between the joist and the back of the board. This acts like an acoustic cushion.

Never bought it mate as normally big jobs it's used on so they supply it, you must of boarded the metal suspended ceiling tracking or metal stud it's very similar to that mate, get you a pic tomorrow
