just received my new Nela supaflex and can notic some alterations. The corners are more rounded, and the most notable thing is the blade, it seems much more rigid than the other one I have. I know my old one is worn in but I'm sure it wasn't as rigid as this one. Has anyone noticed any change? @Plasterers1StopShop
Ryan are Nela using a different grade of stainless now?

Hi mate,

No change in the steel. Exactly the same as before and exactly the same flex. It will be because yours is worn mate

That's fine mate I haven't used it yet, just felt more rigid, not that it's a problem I was just curious really. The more rounded corners,is that something that's been altered due to customer feedback bud?

Been using mine a few months now and I'm still needing to finish with my refina, doesn't seem to be getting any sharper, also it's F*****g filthy on the bottom what normally takes a year to get grubby this has done it in no time and I always clean my tools. Not a bad trowel to be fair but can't relly finish with it yet may have to get a flexi trowel or whatever they are called.

I just got my Nela s*p*r*lex.
It had some sticker on it saying on use one way with a green picture showing the edges bowed outwards
And a red picture showing inwards.
It then said using 2 ways invalidates the warranty!
Am I being stupid when I say I don't have a clue what this means!!!????

Basically means don't pull it the wrong way. Not what it's designed for :)

Because it's flexy the first thing people do is try and bend it the wrong way.....

On the trade stands last year that's all people were doing

Haha fuucks the point......idiots.

Also known as customers who give feedback ! I have seen plasterers with trowels and they should just use shovels in a garden

Supaflex nelas are shite......they leave lines ...leave water streakes.

Look good when finished set ..when it dries there result is disgusting.

5 weeks trying now.
give up.

Because you cannot use it does not make the trowel s**t
