hi all just a quick question I have just reboarded a wall in in my sons room and have cut the light switch hole to big is there a way to repair this or will I have to start again thanks for ya help

Yes its fixable mate. How much bigger is the hole you have cut? Is it much more or just a few mill ??

Most would foam the gap ? If its only round a switch?? :RpS_confused: or is it 10-15mm bigger on all sides??

You did not cut the hole to big I did :RpS_laugh: and it was a bloody stupid mistake!

It is tight enough on the top and bottom if it was pushed to the left I think there is a 10-15mm gap on the right, you concur Les?

Get one of those plastic switch surrounds like they had in the 80s. No need for filler then.

If the box is flush with the surface just scrim round it and push some skim in before you start.

The plastic things look terrible. How much effort would you go to to do it right. You could have it fixed proper in 20min
