Looking for a Hoover :-/

Aye henry , a have a makita 18v one aswell . 33 quid in screwfix a think with no batterys . Small volume before emptying but its great for little jobs etc , u get a long pole with a thing for carpets and dat aswell . Wudnt fancy doing **** loads with it though . Been abused and still going also

U must have some proper clean dust sheets if doesnt need a quick hoover after, better to have one + not need it than need one + not hav one! Meself i put plastic sheetin down then dustsheets over the top, no need to hoover but still got one!

Agreed pal I go The extra mile with cleaning leave jobs cleaner than when u start that's what customers remember :RpS_thumbup:
 
Yeah thinking a henry..

I always use roll and stroll, but have a load of artex to scrap next week usually bond out first without scrapping (asbestos) but there's next to nothing left on top of the stringer so thought fck it il just scrap all of it when I say 'I' I mean we (the boy!) ;)

Might get him a mask ;)
 
I used to use a Henry, then when I needed a new one I got a Karcher wet & dry vac as it was on offer somewhere. Brilliant bit of kit, every bit as good as the Henry was IMHO. The advantage for me, probably not so much for a plasterer, was it can be used as a dust extractor. You plug the sander (OK maybe some plasterers :RpS_lol: ) into a socket on the vac. When you pull the trigger on the sander the vac starts automatically.

It'll be handy next week when @Nisus is doing his two hours a day with out of date multi and dirty water. I'll be able to vac up all the water (it's like watching Shamu from poolside!) he splashes around. Then when I knock the high spots off of the walls with the sander I won't get any dust in his ice cream. :RpS_sneaky:

I got my karcher wet n dry from karcher outlet referb half price and had it 3 years no problems love it

It was the first time I've ever seen anyone stick their bottom lip out at the prospect of going home at 13:00 having started at 10:00 and being on a day rate. It'd work out much cheaper for me if you stayed home and I got the ice cream delivered to you. :RpS_unsure:

we've all done the thing with the hoover. its a right of passage, like making a false vagina

I use polythene sheets from wickes £12for 10 masking tape them to the skirting never any dramas, pick them up throw them away job done.
I'd never put dirty/dusty sheets down that's just making more work for yourself

roll and stroll,you deserve an award for usin that stuff lol I just cant seem to get on with it, bad batch maybe?as said before I also use clear plasic disposable sheets and dust sheets on top.Also,the good old henry hoover gets a thumbs up from me:RpS_thumbup:

By the time you arrive it'll be done anyway. Got to wait for your Mrs to finish her shift. I know your game! I bloody hate labouring for plasterers, it's like rowing one of those Greek boats with some fat sweaty b4stard behind you beating the drum! :RpS_sneaky:
