Well got delivered day after ordering, looked good straight away ,nicely balanced, after using it all week (board work ,hardwall/skim) I can certainly recommend this trowel, the handle was a concern at first but it actually gives you more grip if the handle is a bit damp, the blade as more flexibility than most standard trowels but not as flexible as s*p*r*lex/nelaflex though.
My usage is limited i.e 1st coat ,2nd coat and first trowel then plastic from there on in.
All in all its a good trowel for £40 notes delivered, after a weeks use I still cannot say if its better than Marshalltown, but definitely on a par at the moment, but time will tell.:RpS_thumbup:

I don't believe the trowel has more flexibility than most trowels,it's like the ox or the tysak ,it needs sand and cement work to break itin, you should buy the nela flex to go with it, better than plastic by miles

Im not a lover of the flex john, basically im getting a good finish using the tools I use , I cant speak for others but for me im happy with it, I've never used a ox trowel and last time I used a tyzac was 1983,yet again I can only say what I know about, I don't skim hardwall same day either I like suction because that's how I was shown how to do it, and the trowel works for me in my professional opinion, and the fact I don't finish using the trowel why's it need breaking in?

I think it need breaking in,just my opinion ,we all differ, you don't like the flex but like the plastic?

havent used the standard trowel yet, but mine looks like it can be used straight away, we;ll see, but sure it will be ok.. never used a flexi, so that will probably be launched after 10 mins..lol...

I have 3 flexi blade trowels all of them have bent , this is possibly me and my methods and they don't work for me , toe and heel have curled up , I've had same plastic for over 12 month, hopefully this answers your query , it's all about money and plazzy as done me good at the side of flexi blade trowels . While the flexi's worked well when I first got them they don't last long enough for me

Thanks, its somethingi worry about @scottie5 has a great opinion in the flexis though, I only have mine a month or so, I think there is an over reliance on the new trowels and that the need to be used for flattening in only..

M8 see if ya dont mind me asking why dont u finish same day suction tears yur arms off lol

For one it blebs like mad, and when I've 2nd coated it's flat and ready for a trowel over near enough straight away , and it's something I've always done , my mentor did it this way too , I'm on 3 floor of a massive building and I work on my own , less walking with all the different tools required , work smarter not harder, yes it can be hard on your wrists/elbows , I use a 13 inch trowel to combat this , not sure if it's the fastest way but it works for me
