Why would you do that?makes no sense
Your absolutly right, why on earth would I want a machine I can dump 10 bags or more of powder into, that mixes it all up for me and throws it out the end of a controllable nozzle where I want it at the consistency and depth I would like on industrial size walls sticking 1000's of m2 of boards ....

Quite simply is there a pump that can mix and apply drywall adhesive ?

Since getting our Ritmo back I've wondered if there's any good reason not to use it when on decent straight runs.
Well machine gurus would there be any likely problems you can think of?

Unless it was a factory wall with no cuts or sockets I would say it was ideal but you ain't gettin many of them jobs

Not used It but has anyone seen the vid on you tube. drywall bully I think its called. dunno how good it would be

If You were doing a house for example, you would cut all your boards for the 1st floor. Use the machine then for mixing and applying the adhesive. The saving is the time used for mixing the stuff, getting water carrying it upstairs etc and scooping it up and applying it to the wall. How you make that more economical is down to the labour costs for doing it traditionally and doing it with a machine. Would you still pay to make someone's job easier or use cheaper labour

I used to mix and then cut and stick, but have found that if you cut most of it mainly the awkward slow stuff first you can then have bigger mixes and get more done.

i cut and stick reveals then all full boards and easy cuts then fiddly bits i find this is easiest for me

i start off cutting the boards but they always seem to be just a touch too big so after the first mix i tend to just go freestyle

I like the freestyle days that include a bit of tacking, sticking, bonding, and skimming, usually ends up with kit everywhere.

I always cut my reveals and heads first do them then the full boards as I'm going tried every method but cutting then standing them in place and taking then off seems like more work and they are not as spot on that way.

have you just come off a plastering course, a sticker would use about 5 bags of adhesive and stick about 200 pounds of boards. or are you going to use it for float and setting.

no i havent, 24 yrs plastering, boarding, sticking, our stickers stick approx 50 or more boards a day (150 m2 ish ) each and i was trying to achieve more m2 with less effort. adhesive is a difficult product for machines so i threw it out there to see if anyone has had a success with a machine for adhesive application, however i take it from the lack of responses there isnt anything suitable

fair enough, didn't mean to come across as rude, seems abit of a daft thing to do though, spraying dabs. are you a plastering operative yourself or more in the office?

get hold of the fat fella from UK plastering machines and ask for a demo on a Ritmo. That will answer your question. It will work and the ritmo will eat through the gear

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this thread!

The M-tec M100 will mix and be capable of doing this, the only 'alarm bell' that rings is the drying time of the material is very quick. Once you finish with the machine you would need to clean it out very quickly.

If you want to test it, please feel free to pop down and see us and we will set a machine up for you and test it with you.

Please call me on 01242 236699 if you want to discuss this

Didnt think you were being rude in any way m8, most boards are stuck with a continuous bead around the board these days, the material is notoriously sticky ( obviously meant to be) and I could see it ruining an machine quite quickly if not flushed through regularly and correctly.

I run my office from portable systems these days and have always kept on the tools, I don't mean to be rude to the office bods but you need to do the job to understand the job and the people that do it too, my strength has always been that if I can plaster it properly then the plaster I'm asking to do it for me can, instead of trying to pull the wool over my eyes by saying it can't be done.
