I'm renewing some of my kit at the moment and fancy a new pair of stilts.

Seeing as their a sponsor now I've been looking at the latest version of the Dura-Stilts Carobyn

Has anyone on here got Dura-stilts? Is it worth paying the premium? You can get the copys for £60 off ebay. My brother bought a set a few months back and they seem fine, but I've not seen the dura-stilts for myself so don't know the difference.

Was that the marshalltown skywalkers you had? The big clumpy ones?

Had both style of mt ones the skywalker ones didn't like as springs only go forward where others go backwards as well

Got some MT SW 2.0s in 1999 ..... still going fine ... nothing broken yet ..... good stilts - spring always needs to be really tightened so your walking position is rightwhen the ankle is bending etc

Sur stilts are far better than dura stilts and if you can find the mag 2,s you will have the aston martin of stilts

ive got the marshaltown 1's cant fault them lovley bit of kit and bloody handy too had them about 4 years now mabey more

In what way are they better? Do you have them?
I want something light and comfy because I'm weak and lazy.

Where's @carobyn with the hard sale and forum discount?

Are you not allowed use them ,fine ,that's why I stay away from house bashing ,crawling around in **** ,and listening to fellas justifying their jobs ,what a load of ....

Well that's the crack here some asshole following you round site last time I worked on site some young bell end giving people yellow cards for not wearing hard hat when skimming ceilings and gloves and glasses

Yea seen that **** before, how can you skim a ceiling with a hard hat ,absolute joke ,I know exactly where your coming from ,how can anyone operate under conditions like this ,it's overkill and the contractors suffer

When he caught me the 2nd time without my hard hat he gave me yellow card ,i said it keeps falling of ,he told me to get helmet with chin strap

We had trouble over that ,and the muppets agreed we could take them off ,as long as we put them back on when we left the house

That was last site I worked on couple yrs ago very big firm ,think at time they had drop a skip on some young bloke walking across compound in Plymouth area

No wonder H&S were all over them ,messes things up for everyone ,no one can make bob with that kind of carry on,although in fairness ,builders were wreck less and lives were cheap not so long ago ,should be some happy medium between common sense and guntering
