Ok just unwrapped two ezeflex trowels from 1stop, a 13.5" and a 16". The 13.5 is extremely lightweight it comes with a fibre glass shank, and a soft grip rubber handle which is Identical to the midget trowel handle from r.efinas plazziflex. The 16" is still relatively lightweight and has an alloy shank and a bass wood banana handle which is closer to the old school marshalltown handles. They both feel nicely balanced. One thing I noticed though are that the ezeflex aren't as flexible as the r.efina s*p*r*lex this is because the blade on the eze is 20mm narrower then the r.efina 110mm instead of 130mm,I will have a good crack with them tomorrow and see what impact, if any the different blade width has on the finish.

Don't like the look of the wooden handle. Now get the fuk home from work so we can find out if there sh@t r not.

The 13.5" with the soft handle a nice little trowel very light and is comparable to the s*p*r*lex. The 16" needs a small adjustment to the width in my opinion to give it a little more flex its a little stiff at the minute and is dragging a bit.the wooden handle is spot on very comfortable, going to let one of our lads loose on it tomorrow as hes never used a s*p*r*lex ill see what he makes of them.

My old man thinks its definitely as good, its extremely light, the handle may take a bit of getting used to, im going to have a gauge with it in the morning so will keep you posted.

The wooden one is a Venetian trowel yeah ?

I get a few bits from pajeritolito very decent indeed.
whatever they called

They make little handy EPs groovers for rail system too.

Not a venetian, and it is made in Germany. Will talk to the manufacturers tomorrow and see if we can get the width increased by 20mm

Yes Beddy they look a little more rounded than the s*p*r*lex.
I would like peoples opinions on the finish once dried with these trowels. There must be slight colour and flatness etc from the s*p*r*lex compared to marshalltown maybe?

Good point mate, probs jumping the gun! Will wait around. Sold quite a few yesterday and one of the boys was from the forum so will be interesting to hear from him

I wish the s*p*r*lex blade was narrower not used to a wide blade feels a bit cack handed
