Well that some good info there, thanks Rigsby. I've only ever tyroleaned the off white colour in winter as the coloured stuff tends to dry inconsistent (not on about blooming) I was geared up for this nice render job which was all priced and arranged last year etc and today they ring and decide they want a texture and not flat!? Don't know why I'm suprised this kind of thing happens a lot in our game :RpS_laugh:

Stipple it with a brush head. That's a texture :-D

Hi Marshy,

The product you are looking for is decorative finish ranging from 1mm to 6mm acrylic/silicon /lotus/ based product comes in 25 kg tubs
then smaller aggregate then more meters out of tub 1mm gets you about 15 to 18 m2 from a tub on prefect surface (really difficult to get nice finish on uneven surfaces) 1.5mm gets you around 10m2 and so on , if you putting it on sc you definitely have to put special primer from same manufacturer, but realistically you have to reinforce first with glass fibre mesh and base coat otherwise it will crack.
If you never have done it before even do not try to do it on your own , you need at least one man putting on and one rubbing up on bigger areas like gable you need at least 3 man that's for beginners.
But really if you want to be paid do not do it without someone who has done it before!!
You can get next day delivery at direct building products they sell JUB system at realistic prices like £60-00 to £100-00 per tub depending on colour..

If you read my earlier posts I have done this work before but in Germany over 10 years ago. I'd never take any job on I wasn't confident/or capable of doing it. Really appreciate your help on this and I've had some great help and info off you lads so I can relate all this to the customer and then get back to the suppliers etc who can help :RpS_thumbsup:

what that finish thhey do over smooth render in ireland. The pat it with a sponge float when its a bit wet and it leaves a stipple effect.

Also could the masking be reduced if you coated the areas likely to get splashed with tyrolean with a light oil to prevent anything bonding to it. Then you just wash it down on completion.

There is also Weber High Build. Like artex but on the outside. Skim on and go over with a roller. Get the solvent based stuff and it can go on in freezing temperatures.
