Thinking of picking up one of the Milwaukee or Bosch little 10.8v drivers for fitting drywall, has anyone had any experience with these do they hold up to the job? Are the batteries good enough to do a days work?

Been tempted by these as the batteries are cheap and they're light for when im doing work overhead

I got the Bosch and my pal has the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee smashes the Bosch every time. Quicker to drive fixings and batteries last longer. And your right they are a pleasure to use overhead. I want the Milwaukee.........

got the 10.8v makita with two batteries and its the dogs , use it all the time for everything .
Up and down on steps,it sits in your pocket ,got loads of torque ,battery charges in 25 mins ,last long enough not to fee like your permanently swapping them over. Also got top of the range, all singing and dancing 18v one and it rarely comes out of the van.
When i got subbies on site , pound to the penny as to which one they are using .

Nice, wasn't sure if they were gonna be able to last a day and they aren't much cheaper but prefer the idea of having a small drill for drylining.
Looks like im gonna go for the Milwaukee especially since you can get 4.0ah batteries

Dewalt? :RpS_cool:

And so is Milwaukee, the white and black Makitas are crap as well if you want a impact drill for boarding go for a Panasonic

my mates got the little white and black makita, seamed fine the other day when i used it, i bought the 14.4v makita impact the other day and used it yesterday for tacking and it was mustard

I've got the dewalt set. Braw and light for ceilings. Good if you have problems with your shoulders like myself. Battery's last a shift and charge in about 15 minutes

We use the 18v Makita LXTs had them 4 to 5 years, use them for everything, everyday, plasterboarding, building timber stud, if can be used for a job, it is, still got 2 of the original batteries left, they take some serious use and abuse, and they're light, some serious torque

We wouldn't mind the Hilti Impact, I think it's a 14v, the rep showed us one, think that would beat everything and anything

I have the Makita 10.8 impact and drill driver twin pack 3 issues tho 1 the round bottom means they don't stand up a little annoying sometime when boarding overhead with a hoist or prop. 2 the batterys cost £80!!!!! WTF an they don't even fit in the makit DAB radio. 3 my boss has the dewalt 10.8 an they feel slightly better quality like if you drop them a couple of feet who gives a **** you no it's not going to make a mark an I don't feel like that with my makita.... and they also have a big flat bottom for standing up so all in all go for dewalt in my opinion

The battery life in them black and white Makitas are shite after 6 months regular use they are shagged the standard Makita impact is a good it of kit but the Panasonoic is better.
