about 9.50 plus vat a bag from a distributor
Lanko comes in a big butt size think its 50L and cant remember but i think it was more than 50 quid last time

you should only add lankolatex to basecoats bloner as it can affect the colour and parex only spec it for basecoat

Encon bout the cheapest but ol Paul Ais delivery is well handy for a few dollars more

the spec i have here is to put it 1-1 in every coat. maybe the architect has made his own version up

Parex told me not to put latex in the colour only in the parmurex and 1 to 1 is way wrong.... its 9or10 parts water to 1 part latex or 500ml per 30kg bag of parmurex so if you use 5 litres of water to mix a bag of parmurex put one coke bottle size of latex in with it

This job has been priced 3 times now. Before i start i will put something in writing to cover myself
Did u know that with the parex guarantee the applicator is nothing to do with the defects after 6 months. As long as the spec is correctly followed

Did a 1/2m2 patch today half engineering brick half felt and eml. Mixed it 5:1 with 50/50 sbr and water. On for 9.30 and still wet at 3pm. Very nice stuff to use but hangs around a bit.

We use it as a basecoat with lanco in it for refurb jobs ready for an acrylic finish or just as OCR.

I couldn't get on with parmurex at all, really nice to lay on....But was really sticky to float and seemed to tear and rip....was rubbing up and spongeing like normal S&c in a stairwell.....

its more like a calc cement than ocr being sand and cement - treat it like a mono and you will never turn back, sprays wonderful.

What is calc cement? Never heard of it. I know of C&G but yet to try it.

you would have to ask Warrior mate as I aint 100% but from what i can gather its based more on calciate and was/is very popular over in germany/europe etc, think they use it over clinckers alot there? I might be wrong

It's not a cement , but a pre bagged finely crushed calcinated flint, which is mixed with lime in comes in the bag wet and they used to just use a small amount of cement to set it off, should imagine the closest thing to it is lime mortar really, there was a company that did a dry powder version but it came in a silo and had a great pump underslung on it, Sakret i think it was called, used to plough loads on

well there you are then. I have used sakret renders over here before for thermal and masonry they also contain alot of lime.

Forget the C&G bit then i was told it was very similar but from what paul says it is not although C&G is similar to parmurex
