The best bit was where the boarders filled in above a doorway with an offcut of 15mm plank expecting it to finish at the same level as the 12.5mm either side.

re***ds!

Yea, i'm just taping them. The guys boarding have no pride in their work and don't give a s**t. They might on Monday though when they find out they are being contra charged for the time the chippies spent today rectifying it.

That just say's I do not give a feck shameful some poor sods got to live there.

its all down to the money .... bet they were on a s**t price or hourly rate, would you give a fu.ck if you were on £8 p/h, i wouldnt

Listen guys!!!

skimming = nothing wrong with the boarding

taping = could be better

this current climate and rates = "Dont have a lot of fu**Ing choice and need to go as fast as possible to pay the BILLS"

But if you left the plastering rough you wouldn't expect any more work from that customer would you Neil so why should the guys doing the tacking? And no more work = not paying the bills, so leaving rough work can't be the allowed to become acceptable everywhere just because of the current climate, in fact now should be the time for everyone who can to up their game to impress.

The quality of my work is consistent, whether I am getting £2,£3,£4 or £5 a metre. Why leave a bad job, when you can do a good one? Turning out s**t quality work is like saying to your customer, you're a C*** and I don't give a F***.

After telling the chap that his boarding was s**t, and that i'd not seen boarding like it since I last followed his work, the next house is worse. Complete c.unt.

have to say seen a lot worst but still the time it takes to to do a rough job 9/10 you can do a good job

then give it to the MC before he pays them and a cost for you to put it right x 2 they may get the message or find good boarders who could replace them

give em a snagging list

Too right! Last time this happened to me, I told the punter that as the 'dry-lining' was shoit I would need to bond most of it to give him a decent job. He then asked me to dry-line the last 2 houses as well :RpS_thumbup:
Tony - maybe time to take on a boy? (in a non-sexual way:RpS_biggrin:)

Ive seen and had to plaster over MUCH worse than that! unbelievable some times, they think just cos you're a spread you can get over anything! I used to go round sticking more screws in n sorting it out but got the hump eventually n it is what it is, if they cant be bothered, it is what it is.
