New machine

I know some people that have had training and only made a few calls to their dealer ( machine dealer not drug dealer) I think it’s down to the training on the day and the person
It's when something goes wrong that people struggle with or what they did wrong on setup

do they not come with instruction manuals ?
Yeah it's not as easy as that though you need to understand what's going on with them
Most first time users f**k up with the water settings and jam the machine or back it up and flood the pan
This really wobbles their confidence it can take first timers hours to sort out and then they'll do it again
You need experience with them for everything to run smoothly

One of my machines has just had to have a complete new air system including compressor,
make sure the gun is plugged in to the air outlet when cleaning down, the lads have been hoseing it down over the years spraying bit's off water though the outlet and it's rotted the whole air system including compressor from ithe inside out.

Tbh most new guys looking for a machine see on social media “your gong to spray 100 m2 easy, the machine will pay for its self in two weeks “ the truth is it takes along time to learn . Training for 1 / 4 hours ( depending where you go ) isn’t going to teach you anything apart from setting the machine up .

I agree with you here.

I always say the best tool in the armoury for the machine world is experience. And this isn’t something that comes quickly.

The difficult thing about training is a famous thing called Cognitive Overload. We could make a whole day course on it, but, it would simply be a waste of time (we can say this from experience as well).

What we prefer to do is; intensive course on how to setup and clean the machine correctly whilst setting material consistency, focus on a couple of key problems often experience - water shortage and air blockage.

Obviously when you think about cognitive overload, you then limit what’s included in the course. This is why we always offer multiple return visits free of charge. We are always happy to welcome people back for retraining!

At the end of the day , people buying a machine should only need to know about the machine , not like your going to show them how to render a house tbh

You do realise we used to employ two ex Renderers doing our training?

But yes, not there to teach that and is machine focused

Most good dealers will go out of their way to help on the phone
