The new faster plaster

Hello has anyone been using this new fast plaster?
I used it for the first time and didn't even get a chance to do a first lay in before having to use my brush to apply water.

I had a chimney breast to do and the walls left and right, and a window wall.
I didn't have enough plaster for the window wall so used a bag I had which wasn't the new faster plaster. Had I not used it, I wouldn't have got it all laid in.

Any response I hope will be helpful.

Thanks for your decent reply. I've been in the trade for 34 years ( yes, old boy 62), I call the exterior back wall to the bedroom a window wall.
Gypsum have over the years produced there crap and I've called, written or emailed to say what the f@#k is this s**t. I have done so on this occasion of this ridiculous speed of the plaster.

I single Handley could do a 16ft x12ft ceiling no problem with the other plaster, but this new fast stuff, you'd require two plasters and a labourer.
Madness. They can't stop messing, Gypsum. Never know when they got a quality product. Lol.

Like most new things we try out it’s tends to be down to trial and error the trial on your part was using it,the near fatal error for you was putting to much on at once you was able to control the set in the end fair play to you I can only recommend at the age of 62 and still spreading I suggest a few delicious grapes on your plate once a day

Lol, I'll whip you young ones any day of the week. Grapes? 8 cans of Guinness every night, and come Friday, 5 pints in the pub and 4 cans at home. Lol

Definitely. Yes!
Grapes. Yes!

Said before In a different post, just get some halftime pouches and experiment with quantity added depending on how much your knocking up. I find they are a really great addition. why carry 2 different bags of multi??

I’m well chuffed with pro finish. A bag at a time. Smaller ceilings, big straight walls. 70 minutes from you knock it up to finish. Amazing gear! Wickes has it on special for £9.50

and be careful the next day for being stopped for drink driving, people fail breath test every day , thinking they are okay

Those small jobs I do that take a couple of hour earn me more than you can make in a full day. Ok, Billy

Told my doctor how much I was drinking, sounded like a headless chicken on the phone, saying your drinking enough to kill an elephant.
Gave me 12 different blood tests, all came back normal, and I been drinking for 30 years. Stick to the Guinness. Lol.
